Are you open right now?

We open Tuesday to Friday from 6am to 2pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:30am to 1pm. We are closed all day Monday. The line at the top of this page says whether we are open right now, in Brisbane time.

Do you take table bookings?

Not for a casual visit, tables are first come, first served. For a group of six or more, call 0400 000 000 or email the day before and we will do what we can to hold space.

What time do the croissants come out?

The first tray of croissants comes out at about 5:30am, and a second tray with the almond croissants at about 9am. Times move ten minutes either way with the humidity, because laminated dough proves faster on a warm morning.

When does the bakery sell out?

Almond croissants and cinnamon scrolls usually go by early afternoon, sooner on a weekend. If you want a whole sourdough loaf, call ahead and we will put one aside with your name on it.

Where do I park?

Free street parking on Example Street and the residential streets around it. Saturday and Sunday mornings are the tightest, so give yourself an extra five minutes.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the footpath tables out front. Queensland food safety rules keep dogs out of the dining room, so that part is not up to us.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, gluten-free bread is available for any toast dish for an extra $2. The kitchen and the bakery both handle wheat flour every day, so we cannot promise a meal free of traces, and we tell anyone with coeliac disease the same.

Do you do vegan food?

The sourdough loaf and the seeded roll are vegan, and any coffee can take oat, almond or soy milk for an extra $0.80. The croissant dough is made with butter, so none of the pastries are vegan.

Is breakfast really served all day?

Yes. The full breakfast card is available from the moment we open until the moment we close, including the big breakfast at 12:30pm on a Sunday.

Is takeaway the same price?

Yes, coffee, bakery and the full breakfast card all go into a bag or a cup at the same price you pay to sit down.

Do you cater for a work morning tea?

We put together coffee, pastry and sandwich platters for workplaces and small functions. Call 0400 000 000 or email at least 48 hours ahead so the bakery can plan the extra trays.

Can I get a pram in?

There is step-free access from the footpath and enough room between the tables for a pram, though it gets tight during the weekend morning rush.
