Miss a call. Keep the conversation.

Missed-call rescue is an automatic text reply for Queensland tradies and small businesses who cannot always answer the phone. A caller gets a message asking what they need, and you follow up when you can.

Included in WebGecko care plans from $298/month

How a missed call becomes a reply

  1. A customer calls your configured business number while you are busy.
  2. When the system detects the missed call, it sends the configured text response.
  3. The customer can reply with what they need.
  4. You return the call or continue the conversation when you are free.

The point is to acknowledge the enquiry while you are on the tools. It does not answer questions on your behalf or replace your judgement about the job. You still decide which work to accept and what to quote.

What the customer experiences

For example, a homeowner calls while you are working. Instead of hearing nothing after the missed call, they receive a short message identifying your business and asking what they need. They can describe the job, and you have context when you ring back.

This is an illustration of the workflow, not a claim about a measured increase in bookings. A text creates another opportunity to respond; the customer still chooses whether to reply or hire you.

What setup needs to establish

Your business number, call handling and reply destination need to be configured before the system is ready. We confirm which number customers call, how a missed call reaches the service and where you receive the conversation.

Ask for a test of the complete path: place a call, let it go unanswered, check the outgoing message and confirm that a reply reaches you. Call routing, mobile networks and delivery conditions can affect the result. The setup must match the way you actually use your phone.

Included in both website care plans

Missed-call rescue is included in Care Essentials at $298 per month and Care Growth at $507 per month. Both plans also cover hosting, security, backups and a monthly website editing allowance.

If you are building a new website, compare the website build options first. If you already have a site, use the free website check and speak with WebGecko about what needs to change. The final scope is recorded in your quote.

Questions before you start

Does it replace answering the phone?

No. It acknowledges a missed call and asks the caller what they need. You still need to follow up, understand the job and provide your own advice or quote.

Can I keep my existing business number?

Your existing number and carrier setup need to be checked. Confirm the call-routing arrangement and complete a test before relying on the service.

Will every missed call become a job?

No. Callers decide whether to respond and proceed. The service provides a follow-up opportunity; it does not guarantee replies, bookings or revenue.
