Ma's Toilet Timer is a big, happy timer to help little ones get to the toilet in time. No one likes an accident. It's free, always, with no ads, no tracking, no data collected, and no internet needed.
Tap the smiling clock (watch its eyes go googly). Pick how long, a buddy (a farm animal, the tractor or a dinosaur), what it's for, and whether it starts now or at a time of day, once or every day. Or tap one of the quick timers and it starts straight away.
Tap a timer's card to see it big. With an hour or more, the hours are giant; under an hour the minutes take over; in the last minute the seconds fill the screen and the milliseconds whizz by. The buddy walks to the toilet as time runs down, and little ones can tap anywhere to hear it say hello. With 10 seconds to go, the app shows that timer big by itself.
To leave the big screen, hold the padlock in the top corner until the countdown ends. The pause button under the time can be a simple tap, or a 3-second hold (choose in the settings).
A gentle chime with 5 minutes left, another at 1 minute, a hurry-up at 30 seconds, a big countdown from 10, then a party at zero that keeps ringing until someone taps Stop (for a minute at most). Each one can be turned on or off in the settings, with a "Hear it" button to try them.
Make as many timers as you like. On each card you can pause, stop, start again from the top, change it or put it in the bin, all with one tap. A timer can also start again by itself every time it finishes.
On the start screen, hold the padlock in the bottom corner. A ring fills and counts down 3, 2, 1. Then tap the three numbers written as words (for example "seven, two, nine").
Allow notifications when asked, and a timer still rings when the app is closed or the screen is off. While the app is open, the screen stays on.
The first time each screen opens, a short tutorial lights up each button in turn. To see it again, hold the ? in the top corner for 3 seconds, or use "Show the tutorial again" in the settings.
On iPhone and iPad, use Guided Access: Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access. On Android, use "Pin the app to the screen" in the grown-ups settings.
