Ma's Games is a gentle, offline games app for little ones from 6 months to 6 years. It's all about taking care of our little people: no ads, no tracking, no data collected, and no internet needed.
On the start screen, hold the padlock in the bottom corner. A ring fills and counts down 3, 2, 1. Then tap the three numbers written as words (for example "seven, two, nine"). Little ones can tap the padlock and nothing happens.
Tap a game on the start screen to play: Balloon Pop, Peekaboo Barn, Bubble Bath, Counting Coop, Feed the Animals, Animal Match, Colour Mixing Paint, Build a Tractor, Music Farm, Who Lives Here?, Sing Along and Dino Mummies. Nothing needs reading, and there's no losing.
Hold the padlock in the top corner of the game until the countdown finishes. You'll go back to the start screen (Balloon Pop goes back to its animal picker first).
The first time each screen opens, a short tutorial lights up each button in turn. To see it again, hold the ? in the top corner for 3 seconds, or use "Show the tutorial again" in the grown-ups settings.
Hold the hourglass in the top-left corner, answer the grown-ups question, then pick Unlimited or a time. When time is up, the game dims and says goodnight.
Ma's Games is free to try: Balloon Pop plays for 5 minutes, then the app has a 5-minute rest. The other eleven games show a little padlock until they're unlocked. One purchase unlocks all twelve games for good, with no limits or rests. You'll find Unlock all games in the grown-ups settings (hold the padlock), never on a child's screen. Got a new phone or tablet, or reinstalled? Tap Restore purchase on the same card.
On iPhone and iPad, use Guided Access: Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access. Turn it on, open Ma's Games and triple-click the side (or Home) button to start it. On Android, use "Pin the app to the screen" in the grown-ups settings.
